Tantra’s long-forgotten significance!

Like many other ancient disciplines, Tantra has lost its fundamental essence and practise principles through time. Masters were obliged to diminish the technique to a skeleton level with the rise of modern faiths and societal structures. When tantra came into contact with westerners, it was further adapted to their social conventions.
Tantra, at its most basic level, was about gaining super consciousness by balancing both feminine and masculine forces inside each individual. The great strength of sexual energy was recognised by ancient masters, who designated it the life force energy of tantric rituals. Ancient tantric techniques taught about creating, managing, and directing ultra-high energy to achieve balance and harmony between Shiva-Shakti, Yin Yang, or the Conscious Subconscious. During climax, we all experienced the mysterious and overwhelming strength of this energy. We are experiencing an emotion that cannot be described in words right now. Tantric practises used to be on maintaining a constant level of energy for a set amount of time, measured in breaths.

Modern religions framed sexuality as a taboo in order to keep humanity away from this immense source of energy. People have completely forgotten the idea of “holy sexuality” as a result of the current definition of tantra. Nowadays, tantra is thought to be a sensual technique that combines massage and breathing. Few people realise that tantra’s ultimate strength comes from being in a constant condition of ultra-high energy flow, not merely sensuous massage and deep breathing!

Deepak Chopra is a well-known figure who is gradually presenting authentic tantric practises to the Western world. “OM Meditation – orgasmic massage meditation,” which has been widely explored and approved as a healing practise, was the first step on this path. Despite their awareness of religion’s excessive limits and impact, people nonetheless find it difficult to break through social standards.

Do we not notice how the “family model” promoted by societies and guided by religions has gradually crumbled? Only about 8% of couples are content with their sexual life. The majority of people are acting out their parts to maintain the corroded concept of sexual and social norms. And anything that deviates from the religious understanding of sexuality is deemed either a taboo or a criminal.
